Call 800-314-7003! What is a surety bond? A surety bond allows for a party to collect damages when another party fails to fulfill a commitment. Damages would include fines your business has incurred but cannot pay, and it's the government that wants the guarantee that these fines will be paid so they demand a surety bond to back you and them up. The surety bond is used in lieu of having to come up with the cash to guarantee yourself, which can be expensive. Instead, a surety company will be willing to make sure any valid claim is paid as long as the company that incurred the fines remains responsible for the claim. Pro Surety Bond has over 25 years of combined industry experience, so call us even if you don't think you can get a good priced bond because of poor credit history. Call 800-314-7003!

Bowling Green is a city in Wood County and it is the 48th most populous city in the State of Ohio. Bowling Green was rather prosaically named after Bowling Green, Kentucky, by a retired postal worker who used to deliver mail there. Bowling Green is largely middle class, but in the early part of the 20th century it drew mostly affluent residents. Traces of this can still be seen in the downtown district which exhibit the storefronts of a bygone era. Today Bowling Green is a part of the Toledo Metropolitan Area, and the home of Bowling Green University.
How much does a surety bond cost? That's hard to say because so many things factor into the equation: what kind of bond, what industry are you in, what your credit history is, etc. That last one, credit history (along with other financials) is the one that you have most control over. Given the number of variables, it would not be prudent to offer a quote here, but usually a surety bond will cost about 1% to 4% of the cost of the coverage. This will probably be more for "big ticket" bonds like construction bonds, where a lot more is at stake. Call the Bowling Green Surety Bond Pros Today at 800-314-7003!
Why can't I just take out insurance to cover myself? Because insurance covers something different: risk. Surety bonds, on the other hand, cover the unexpected failure of the principal (the party that purchased the bond), but the coverage goes to the party that required the bond, not the one who bought it. Plus bonds serve a different function in that, given that the principal can be forced to pay out a lot of money if he fails on his commitment, the bond can provide a little extra incentive to do the best job possible.
What is the term of the surety bond? That depends on what kind of bond, and what stipulations have been placed on the bond by the obligee (the party that asked for the surety bond). With the exception of construction / contract bonds, a one year term is extremely common. When it comes to contract bonds, the term of the bond is a specific period of time or date, whatever date the project owner wants the work done. A few bonds have no term, i.e. the bond is enforceable until it is explicitly cancelled. Give us a call at 800-314-7003
