The difference however is that the surety bond is backed by another, third party. If you are an auto dealer in Texas, you need a surety bond to encourage you and guarantee to the government that you will conduct business in an honest and straightforward manner. So you buy the surety bond from a surety producer, who then promises the government that in the event of a need to pay an indemnity, the surety will take care of it in the form of a short loan on your behalf. Pro Surety Bond has over 25 years of combined industry experience, and we’re working on another 25 years right now. Even if your credit has seen better days, give us a call anyway. Flower Mound in an incorporated town in Denton and Tarrant Counties, and is the 50th most populous city in the State of Texas. It gets its rather unusual name from a 12 acre mound in the center of town. Flower Mound got its start as a Presbyterian religious camp in the 1840s. Over time the religious folk built a church and a community flourished around it. Rapid growth truly arrived with Dallas Fort Worth Airport four miles from town, and from 1980 to 2000 the population went from about 4500 to more than 50,000. Today Flower Mound is the largest town population wise, though certainly not the largest city.
Flower Mound is one of the most agreeable communities in the north Texas area, in large part because the city is located on the north shore of Lake Grapevine, an area with great views that has been protected from rapid development. The city is also near Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, which makes Flower Mound an ideal place for manufacturing and distribution. Town officials have worked hard to make sure a balance is kept between development and economic need. There was a desire by some to open the gates to developers in the 1990s, but sensible heads prevailed and Flower Mound has been all the better for it. What does licensed and bonded mean in reference to small businesses? You’ve probably seen the formula “licensed and bonded” here and there and wondered what it meant. Well for the most part they mean the same thing: in order to be licensed to do business you usually need a bond, and if you have a bond, it’s almost certainly because you needed a license. There are virtually no businesses in the United States that do not need a surety bond of some sort, usually to protect the public from fraudulent practices on the part of the business owner, or to cover fines that arise from not adhering to the regulations you their industry.
How does one become licensed and bonded? First off, you need to get a business application, which will tell you that you need a bond. A peculiar though not uncommon occurrence is that the business application may not tell you exactly what kind of bond you need, so you might have to do a little investigation with the regulatory body that governs your industry. After you do that it’s a matter of finding a quality bond producer, and filling out a bond application. Almost all surety bond applications require at least enough of your financial information to do a credit check on you, though if you are in an industry that uses bonds a lot, like the construction industry, there may be a lot more involved. Nevertheless, the credit check is the foundation of all surety bonding premium calculations. Give us a call at 800-314-7003
