Call 800-314-7003! What is a surety bond? A surety bond allows for financial redress when one party does not live up to its end of an agreement. What kind of an agreement do we mean? Let us say you are driver education provider. The government wants a guarantee that your school's tuition will not be lost if your company goes bankrupt, so the it makes you take out a surety bond to cover the public in that event. Bankruptcies are not very common, so surety companies in most cases only have to do a quick financial check up on the strength of the company before it will issue a bond. When it does it will do so without collateral, which means that the bond doesn't come up as a liability. In turn, surety companies promise the government that in the event that a claim does have to be made, the sure they will make sure that it gets paid, even if the school the driver school provider does not agree with the claim. This is the only way Surety bonds can work. Pro Surety Bond has over 25 years of combined industry experience. Call 800-314-7003!

What is the general Indemnity agreement? The agreement is a part of the agreement that the surety company signs with you, and it asserts that the surety will be indemnified for any claim that it pays out. This means of course that if a claim is paid that you have to pay the surety back. Why is that? Because insurance companies don't touch legal contractual obligations, which they are at least in theory avoidable. Surety bonds cover obligations but they don't actually provide primary coverage. And the general Indemnity agreement gives the surety the greatest legal resources to collect on its indemnity.
If the obligee (the party asking for the coverage form me) doesn't trust me enough to take my word that I'll guarantee my work, why will they believe a surety company? The reason they'll believe a surety company is that a surety companies are financial institutions with a large body of regulations that demand that they keep a certain amount of money on hand to pay out claims. Another reason they accept a surety’s commitment is that the agreement with the obligee is such that if a valid claim is made the surety must pay the claim regardless of any other factor. That means even if the principal has defrauded the surety or if the principal does not agree with the claim, or if for some reason the surely suspects that the principal will not be able to pay the claim, the claim has to be paid. This is the only way surety bonds can work. Give us a call at 800-314-7003.
