Mount Juliet is a city in Wilson County, and it is the 28th most populous community in the state of Tennessee. The origin of the name is not clear, and two stories about it exist. The first is that it was named for a woman named Julia Gleaves, a person well known in the area for taking care of those in need within the community, or it was named after the Mount Julius Estate, a manor house in County Kilkenny Ireland. It is the largest county in Wilson County. Mount Juliet is a suburb of Nashville, about 17 miles east of downtown.
