Call 800-314-7003! What is a surety bond? A surety bond provides compensation to one party when another party does not fulfill an obligation. Let's take the example of the auctioneer in Michigan. When an auctioneer is giving a business, license he commits himself to obeying the rules and regulations that protect the public. If he does not it's possible that he could be fined, or that a member of the public can make a claim against the bond. To guarantee that you can do that, the government requires a security. That security can come in any number of ways including putting up your own money. Surety bonds are an inexpensive alternative to this. For a few Pennies on the dollar of coverage, the Surety will stand in for you and pay any claim with the Proviso that you pay the surety back later. Pro Surety Bond has over 25 years of combined industry experience. Call us even if you suspect that you won't be able to get an affordable surety bond with your credit rating Call 800-314-7003!

Why can't I use my certificate of liability insurance for my bonding? Because a surety bond is used for a specific kind of transaction: when your company is involved in a transaction wherein a guarantor is needed. A company still needs general liability insurance because it protects it against the financial ruin associated with accidents. If that happens, the premiums have been combined to pay claims. When the surety company charges you a premium, it's mostly goes to the services related to issuing the bond, which would include establishing the financial strength of your company. When you buy the surety bond you are expected to meet your obligations, but just in case, the surety bond is there.
Why is surety bonding important for small contractors? Because bonding is a documented way of demonstrating that you are qualified and committed to finish project. The processing in question is known as the pre-qualification process. When you submit the financials with your surety bond application, the underwriter looks at your credit history, performance record, history of profitability and the key personnel of your company in order to get a snapshot view of the financial strength of your company. When it determines that it is strong, it will only then issue a surety bond. Give us a call at 800-314-7003.
