Call 800-314-7003! What is a surety bond? A surety bond is an agreement between three parties, one of which must provide a guarantee for the work of one of the parties. If you are bidding on a construction project, you will need to put up a bond for the project owner, who wants one to guarantee that if you win the bid, you will be able to follow through on the project. Idle bids waste money and time, but the surety company can back up the bidders promise. Pro Surety Bond has over 25 years of combined industry experience, so call us even if you believe that poor credit history will make getting a surety bond not worth the trouble. Call 800-314-7003!
If you are bidding on public projects for the City of Palatka you may be required to post a Bid Bond. The Bid Bond guarantees you will be able to provide the Performance Bonds required in the event you are the low bidder. In essence the Bid Bond pre-qualifies you for the work you are bidding on. Not all jobs require bonding but if they do we can assist you with Bid Bonds, and subsequent Performance and Payment Bonds as required by the state. Palatka is a city in Putnam County and it is the 159th most populous city in the state of Florida. Palatka started out as Rollestown, after Denys Rolle, an English gentleman and philanthropist who started a 78000 acre plantation and staffed it with London street lumpen proletarians, ( e.g., paupers, prostitutes, vagrants), all indentured servants who were not accustomed to work and eventually wandered off for better vistas presumably. Rolle wanted to establish a model city but a disgruntled employee sold 1000 of Rolle’s cattle and vanished like the indentured servants. The name of the city comes from the Seminole word for “river crossing,” Pilo-taikita, being the place where the St Johns River narrows.
Palatka is loaded with stuff to do, it has the Palatka Gold Club, a great gold course just over the expansive St Johns River and right through downtown; it has numerous parks and recreational facilities like an amphitheater, playground, tennis courts, a pier and a number of baseball fields; if you have ever thought about trying skydiving, you can get harnessed to a skilled skydiver at Skydive Palatka and experience the real thing, or you can learn the real thing for yourself and diver with other experienced divers. One of these programs is the Commercial Rehabilitation Grant Program, which encourages rehabilitation of commercial buildings or conversion of residential buildings into commercial buildings, with the ultimate goal being to preserve the historic character of the city.
How can a bond producer help my building company besides selling me surety bonds? Bond producers can are good at offering advice on matters like recommending a responsible credit line. Sometimes builders in periods of growth purchase too much equipment or otherwise start spending money they don’t realize they don’t’ have. The bond producer can keep his eye on your financial records and make sure you’re informed if he thinks you might be heading into red ink territory. Give us a call at 800-314-7003
