This is an industry where you deal with the sensitive financial data of your clients, and there is a host of regulations that dictate how you do that, among other things. If a claim is made against you, the surely company has already promised the government that it will pay any valid claim, with the bondholder paying the surety back after. South Milwaukee is a city of Milwaukee County, and it is the 34th most populous community in the state of Wisconsin. The original site that would become South Milwaukee was laid out in 1891 by the South Milwaukee Company, a construction outfit. The name comes from the fact that the town is south of Milwaukee, if that needed to be explained. It was hoped at the time that South Milwaukee would become a rival suburb of Milwaukee proper. Today South Milwaukee is known for being the headquarters of the large shovel and earth moving manufacturer Bucyrus International.
South Milwaukee has a comprehensive downtown plan that is expected to extend to 2035. City officials and the business community understand that the marketplace, housing inventory, workforce, among other things, are constantly changing and that the city needs to be proactive when planning its economic future. Currently, the city wants to chart a new course that would add social and economic value through brazen strategies that will create sustainable community strength and provide amenities while capitalizing on opportunity areas. The plan is devised by a number of City committees, including the Planning Commission of the downtown advisory committee. Call the South Milwaukee Surety Bond Pros Today at 800-314-7003
The development of the downtown area is the centerpiece of the city plan. South Milwaukee is blessed with a large number of historical structures and a standard "Main Street" district that will act as its commercial hub. The plan is specifically aimed to revitalize an eight-block area on Milwaukee Avenue. The city has taken on consultants who have ordered a marketing analysis to determine the best strategies to attract capital investment along with new job opportunities. But the downtown plan won’t stand alone. It has to be coordinated with development and other areas including transportation, housing, historical cultural resources, natural and agricultural resources, as well as utilities and community facilities.
City officials and the business community recognize that larger Economic Development goals are tied intrinsically to the downtown revitalization project. The downtown project focuses on just eight blocks, but economic development in general emanates outward from that point, to develop other aspects of the city functions. Areas that need to be addressed include the employment profile of the city, public funding and resources available for business incentives and low-interest loans, the strength of the local economic base at any time, and the state of the public schools.
