Call 800-314-7003! Well, you've landed on a page that features surety bonds, so it's obvious you need one and you may be asking what a surety bond? Well, a surety bond is simply a form of insurance that guarantees to someone else that you will fulfill some obligation. Say you are a cargo shippers’ agent. That industry has regulations that govern trade between shippers, but how do regulators get you to follow those regulations? They can exact a fine, but they want to be able to guarantee that you have money available to pay a fine so they make you take out a surety bond to back you up. You may be asking can't I set aside some of my own money? Of course you can, but it may be larger amount than you think and you can be sure that it will affect your credit, so the surety bond allows you to put up a modest amount of money for large amount of coverage. Pro Surety Bond offers among the best rates in premiums for all credit market segments, including those with poor credit. Call 800-314-7003!
If you are bidding on public projects for the City of Stockton you may be required to post a Bid Bond. The Bid Bond guarantees you will be able to provide the Performance Bonds required in the event you are the low bidder. In essence the Bid Bond pre-qualifies you for the work you are bidding on. Not all jobs require bonding but if they do we can assist you with Bid Bonds, and subsequent Performance and Payment Bonds as required by the state. The California Gold Rush put Stockton California on the map in 1848, but the city's real history got started when a German immigrant, one Charles Weber, secured 11 square leagues on the east side of the San Joaquin VaSave lley through a business partner. When the Gold Rush arrived Stockton developed as a river port, as the departure point of roads leading to the gold settlements and as the terminus of the Stockton-Los Angeles road. The city was named in honor of one Commodore Robert F Stockton, a naval commander in the Mexican-American war. Stockton (the city) would go on to greater things, like and being the place of origin of the Caterpillar Tractor Company, the site of the first Sikh temple in the United States in 1912, the location of the rough and ready island naval base, and not so greater things like the site of one of the 15 detention sites run by the Wartime Civilian Control Administration which held some 4200 Japanese Americans who were removed from their homes during World War Two. These days Stockton is known as the place where you can buy a house for (relatively) cheap, the home of the University of the Pacific the first university in California (and the academic home of no less than Dr. Henry Indiana Jones); and the home of the Sakura Japanese market. In terms of food and beverage, there’s happy hour at Abby Trappist pub for beer, there's the Central Valley for wine, Tepa Taqueria for fast food Mexican, and the downtown Farmer's Market on Fridays from May to October. For entertainment there are live shows at Stockton Empire Theater, and a fantastic Revue at the Bob Hope Theater. So you see Stockton's got a little something for everyone.
Stockton was hit pretty hard by the financial crisis, but it's bouncing back. The regional losses stemming from the economic collapse and 2008 had stopped and particularly hard, and in 2012 Stockton would become the largest city in the United States to file for chapter nine bankruptcy. Detroit would surpass it the next year, but there's no doubt that Stockton saw some hard times. Fortunately, the economic development team has developed a number of core objectives to develop jobs by attracting new businesses, maintain a healthy business environment for current businesses, offer a streamlined process for new businesses to get started and provide inexpensive housing for low income residents. One of the concrete measures they've taken is to develop the Miracle Mile, a strip of businesses and restaurants that opened in 1921 and it still bustling today. We really think it's a good idea to go into business in Stockton, but in the process you might find that you need a surety bond in order to be licensed. While this is not true for every single last industry in to California, almost all do require one, so consider yourself in good company. Do you own auto dealer lot? If so the public will want to be protected from dishonesty on the part of the auto dealer. Does your business sell alcoholic beverages? If so, you'll need to collect tax specifically on those products and regulators will want you to back up your promise to make your deposits on time and according to regulation. Do you own a check cashing business? If so, there are regulations which govern the handling of funds. Pro Surety Bond has over 25 years combined industry experience searching our network of underwriters for the best bond premiums for all our clients, and agents are ready right now to show that we can do the same for you.
There are a few substitutes for surety bonds, but they don't pass the test. For instance, there are things like bank letters of credit and various other instruments, but none of them as convenient as surety bonds. With bank letters of credit you have to deal with the bank and put up collateral, but if a claim is made against a bond of the bank will in no way investigate that claim and will it immediately freeze your funds. This means the burden of proof will be on you to demonstrate that you have fulfilled your obligations, but you may find that will not be able to unfreeze your funds for months. You can imagine what that affect that will have on your credit rating. Pro Surety Bond has been in the surety bond business for a long time and we know the ins and outs of this industry that no one else, so let us be your next surety bond provider.
