Your Primary Source For Grand Prairie Surety Bond Information
Call 800-314-7003! What is a surety bond? A surety bond is a guarantee that you can offer to another party. Normally we think of a guarantee as returning something to a manufacturer if the product does not live up to what was promised. These types of guarantees are small and the reputation of the company is what allows us to trust them. However, in cases where someone doesn’t know us from Adam, a surety bond might be needed. If you are, say, in the auto dealer business, a few bad apples can ruin things for everyone so the licensing body for auto dealers in your state may have erected regulations to discourage fraudulent behavior. To give you a little encouragement, they make you buy a surety bond to back up your word. Pro Surety Bond has over 25 years of combined industry experience, finding the best rates in its network of underwriters, so call even if your credit isn’t great. Call 800-314-7003!

Grand Prairie is a city in Dallas County in the State of Texas, and it is the 15th largest city in that state. Grand Prairie got its start as Dechman, named after one Alexander Dechman in 1863. Dechman bought around 250 acres where Grand Prairie stands today, but in 1876 he sold half his property to the railroad so that they would run a line through town. The railroad however started calling the part they bought Grand Prairie (because on old maps that part of the state was called the grand prairie of Texas) with the other part remaining still called Deckman (now misspelled by an early postmaster). Confusion arose as to what the place was called and finally it was decided that the railroad’s version would prevail. In 1909 the city of Grand Prairie was incorporated.
Grand Prairie is located in an ideal location in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, about 5 miles south of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The city is the location at the center of an enormous industrial region, and Grant Prairie, mostly because of its convenience to the airport has become a thriving distribution center; and it doesn’t hurt that Dallas and Fort Worth are themselves huge markets. Yet there is still land that can be developed in Grand Prairie, if you were thinking of moving your operation here. It’s true that residential housing, hospitality and industrial interests have sprouted all over, but there are undeveloped areas in the southern part of the city. How much do surety bonds cost? It’s impossible to commit to a price here because there are so many factors that affect bond premiums, including which industry needs bonding and the financial history of the individual seeking the bonds. However we can still give you a ball park figure to give you a sense of the proportions of coverage. Surety bonds are cheap because applicants are vetted before being issued a bond, which allows the surety company to assume the surety risk for you by providing you with a short term loan is the need arises. If you have a good credit rating, most bonds can be had for 1% to 4% of the coverage needed. So for $100,000 of coverage at 2%, that would be $200.Poor credit applicant rates can vary according to circumstances, but at Pro Surety Bond there is a program for almost everyone. There are even Small Business Administration programs that can help you get bonding if necessary.

Why has my bonding capacity been cut? It is unfortunate that someone cannot get bonding, even if they have been bonded for years with no problems. It’s not all your fault. Requirements for underwriters have become more strict, to mirror the state of the credit market in general, and it happens that those on the threshold may find themselves locked out. Ways around this include a letter of credit which is backed approximately by the bank, promissory notes which allow you to put up personal property as collateral, and finally there is cash collateral, which no one will question.
